Kuwait Establishment for Educational Services Co. (K.S.C.)
KEES was established in 1982 at authorized capital of KD. (5,000,000). On 17/12/1997, the capital was increased to KD.(12,375,000). In compliance with the orders of the Ministry of Education, the extra – ordinary meeting in its session of 22/1/1985 has approved the amendment of Article 43 of the company’s Articles of Association, thus making the company’s fiscal year to start on September 1st, and end on August 31st of the following year.
At the commencement of the fiscal year 1999/2000, the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Establishment for Educational Services Company has approved the restructuring plan to correspond with the Establishment’s new fields of activities, as well as to offer high quality and efficient service.
The Establishment’s Objectives:
 | Establish and manage private institutes, training centers, university colleges, printing and publishing houses. |
| Construction, erection, establishing and management of schools
of various educational stages and types (Arabic, Foreign, and Technical). |
| Offer consultancies in educational and training fields. |
| Participate in bodies that practice similar work or can assist the Establishment in realizing its objectives with Kuwait and abroad. Further, the Establishment may purchase such bodies or have them as its affiliates. |
| Offer; manage entertaining educational scientific services along most modern and developed lines. |
| Invest the surplus funds available at the company in portfolios managed by specialized bodies and companies. |
Company’s Activities and Development:
The period from establishment up to 1985/86 school year my be regarded as buildings and facilities, preparation period, which passed through several phases:
Phase 1:
Completion of preparations and construction of main buildings for three schools in Hawalli, Salmiya and Jahra areas, which were built on, leased State Domains.
Phase 2:
In view of the parents enthusiasm for registering their children at The Establishment’s School, and in implementation of The Establishment’s policy which aims at offering educational services, the company has purchased 6 land plots whereon it constructed typical buildings for student schooling.
The company employs approximately 1400 staff as shown in 1999 records. Moreover since its establishment the company endeavors to increase its activity and develop its work, as reflected in the closing financial statements. The company also has worked towards achieving a variety of educational objectives such as the expansion of the typical schools and training centers construction programs, developing a highly efficient and experienced administrative and technical staff in order to cater for all educational and training sectors and fulfill societal needs and offer the best services for students and parents at affordable school fees.
Moreover, The Establishment follows the policy of constructing and full ownership of its facilities, thus enabling it to extend its services to the highly populated governorates of Kuwait (Jahra, Hawalli, and Farwaniyah). Such buildings enjoy full theoretical and practical training facilities such as science, and computers labs, which may be also used as language labs in addition to other educational programs which fall within the curriculum and well-supplied libraries.
During the current school year 1998/1999, both male and female students registered in all educational stages amounted to (18,074), which is a reflection of the parents’ appreciation of the Establishment’s schools which offer distinguished educational services covering numerous aspects including:

Highly qualified, experienced and efficient administrative, technical and academic staff.
The efficient academic supervision system followed by the Establishment, manned by long experienced staff covering all courses and educational stages.
Currently, The Establishment is offering the following educational services under the supervision and control of the General Private Education Department at the Ministry of Education:

| Pakistani Education (Affiliation: Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Islamabad) |
| Indian Education (Offered to Indian communities, under Indian national Curriculum) |
| Public Arabic Education (Ministry of Education’s Curriculum). |
| Senior Education (Ministry of Education’s Curriculum). |
| Special Needs Education (Approved by the Higher Committee for the Disabled Care and the Ministry of Education). |
| The Establishment has also started to prepare Senior Education Centers, as well as Special Needs Education Centers, with the aim of offering educational chances to every body in the State of Kuwait. |
As for Training and Supporting Education Services, the Establishment has concluded a contract with the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training of the State of Kuwait for the training of (429) female trainees who have successfully completed the fourth intermediate stage of Kuwait educational system. The objective is to qualify these trainees through typing and data entry courses.
Their number will double in March 2000 when a new batch of both fourth intermediate class graduates as well as General Secondary School graduates are scheduled to join specialized secretarial and clerical courses.
