The Distinct Arabic Schools ProjectObjectivesThis project aims at providing distinguished Arabic education, enhanced with educational technology and Islamic identity at moderate cost. Philosophy of the Distinct Arabic EducationOur philosophy of the distinguished Arabic education is founded on rising a generation believing in religious values and national commitments, with consolidated feeling of belonging and loyalty to the local environment, in addition to providing an educational program that satisfies the youth’s needs for knowledge which helps and qualifies him to cope with the spirit of the age. The Distinct Arabic School is concerned with: Providing good environment to teachers as to ensure them psychological comfort, focusing on training courses to administrative and educational staff as well as emphasize consolidated school – community relationship. Curricula of the Distinct Arabic Education: The Arabic education curricula fall in two sections: Class and non-class teaching. The class curricula cover the syllabus prescribed by the Ministry of Education, which meet all the required educational conditions. The benefit is completed with teachers who enjoy distinguished personality and performance. This is achieved through compliance with the regulations governing selection of distinguished teachers and organization of specialized courses. The non-class curricula cover the supporting activities at the syllabus level (cognitive), hobbies and inclination (behavioral) as well at the intellectual, personality and relation with self and community levels (sentimental). The cognitive level: This is achieved by providing assisted computerized programs to support the curriculum away from the textbook such as Arabic language, science and math’s programs. Behavioral and Sentimental: That is by adopting the subjects that suit the interest of each student, during or post school activities, and also by selecting a behavioral approach called (the life approach) or (personality building approach), which is handled through the comprehensive curriculum. Non-class Subjects: The distinct Arabic School adopts modern approaches to achieve the successful building of the student’s personality and scientific attainment. The following means represent the forefront of our priorities towards achieving this include: The English Language: Our educational philosophy is based on breaking the language barrier faced by the Arab student, with major focus on conversational skill, under the supervision of a native teacher. Computer Skills: These skills will support other subjects. The computer provides a broad range for creativity and thinking. The impact of educational aids on the trainee is indisputable; therefore, we are keen to train our teachers to using computer in their demonstration. Personality – Building Approach: By this we mean building of an integral realistic personality that combines knowledge with behavior and reacts with the community. This can be achieved only through adopting the learner’s psychology approach, taking into consideration the age factor, so that the adopted approach can serve every age class. Educational specialists, psychology professionals and experts in mental programming develop the approach. School – Community Relationship: “Schools without fences” is our statement that interprets our view of the relationship between the school and the community. We are committed to adopting a policy that makes the school a cultural and educational tributary to the society. Therefore, our school will always be open to parents and students who seek scientific attainment. We will provide the opportunity for evening classes, educational programs, and centers and activities covering various skills and hobbies. This will undoubtedly contribute to building bridges of strong understanding and communication between the school and the community, being the vital element, which has been missing for quite a long time. |
